Protocol to Implement the Ninth Package of Commitments on Air Transport Services under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services

This Protocol and the commitments set out in its Annexes shall enter into force on the sixtieth day after the deposit of the seventh Instrument of Ratification or Acceptance from ASEAN Member States with the Secretary-General of ASEAN, and shall become effective only among the Member States that have ratified or accepted it. For each Member State ratifying or accepting the Protocol after the deposit of the seventh Instrument of Ratification or Acceptance, the Protocol shall enter into force on the sixtieth day after the deposit by such Member State of its Instrument of Ratification or Acceptance. |

Protocol to Implement the Sixth Package of Commitments on Financial Services under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services

This Protocol and the commitments set out in the Annexes shall enter into force ninety (90) days after the date of its signing. Subsequent commitments made in accordance with paragraph 5 shall enter into force ninety (90) days after the date such commitments are notified in writing to the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ Meeting.
Where a Member State is unable to complete its internal procedures for the entry into force of this Protocol within ninety (90) days from the date of its signing, the rights and obligations of that Member State under this Protocol shall commence on the first day following the date on which notification was made under Paragraph 8.
Where a Participating Member State is unable to complete its internal procedures within ninety (90) days after the date upon which subsequent commitments made by Participating Member States in accordance with Paragraph 5 are notified to the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ Meeting, the rights and obligations of that Participating Member State shall commence on the first day following the date on which notification was made under Paragraph 8.

This Arrangement shall enter into force on the date of signature by all ASEAN Member Countries. After this Arrangement enters into force pursuant to Article 8.2, any ASEAN Member Country which wishes to participate in this Arrangement (referred to in this Arrangement as a "participating ASEAN Member Country") shall notify the ASEAN Secretary-General in writing of its effective date of participation, and the ASEAN Secretary-General shall thereafter notify the rest of the ASEAN Member Countries of the same. |
